Ipswich fan here - what's League One like lads?

The away days have been much better in this league. Luton, Wimbledon and Plymouth are 3 of the best days i've had this season so far but all 3 might not be in League 1 next year. And apart from our ground, the best stadium is probably Coventry's apart from the fact it's got a statue of a cheat outside it

Everyone hates us cos we have a Big stadium and take big numbers and tend to win. Also we have a decent capital for this league so everyone is jealous.
Other than that I can’t wait to get out of it
Yeh and they think that your club has deliberately contrived to get relegated in to THEIR league just to big itself up a bit. We take them loads of extra gate money and other revenue to their grounds and we are "showing off".

Still enjoying it mate.

We've hit a bad run of form but still looking pretty good.

The novelty will wear off after a year but this season so far has been a good one.

Come on down (although hopefully we switch places).

Play acting is the worst I've seen at any level, refs are terrible...
In the games we've not been leading the opposition time wasting is another thing to add to that list. Going down at the slightest of touches then taking an age to take the free kick, taking forver to make a sub or take a throw in or a goal kick. Seen plenty of Championship and Premier League football and known nowt like it for how regular it happens.

Hopefully the sky blue filth are getting kicked out of the Ricoh at the end of the season :)

It was great at first. New grounds, big fish in a small pond etc.
Now that the novelty of it has worn off the worry of not getting out of it at the first attempt and the prospect of the lowest finish in our 140 year history is hitting home.
We must get out of this league at the first time of asking.

This is it for me. I'm really open minded and as Chris Coleman would say, it is what it is - but the novelty aspect has worn off and the possibility of being in this league next year worries me. Like others I've enjoyed winning more than for many years, but the football itself is not great to watch. I wasn't surprised by the physicality of the league, but I have been surprised at how deep seated the gamesmanship is. In terms of SAFC, it feels that brief flashes in literally 2 or 3 games we haven't started motoring yet, hopefully we will, or alternatively it will be pure attrition till the end. One way or another I do think we will go up.
