Just seen SD tweeted implying the £4m transfer fee is only if we reach the Prem with Grigg. Making the actual fee of £1.5m seem much more likely. Probably £1m for promotion to championship and then a further bonus for prem. Hardly the bank breaking £4m quoted.

I agree with your sentiment but at end of day you’ve got to give them credit for having had a successful window, they’ve done exactly what they said they would do, backing the manager and getting in the players he wanted

No disagreement at all. They've now got a squad that should be more than capable of going up. They deserve credit for that and will get plenty. I just don't think it has to be an either/or thing.
 
If nowt else overpaying will get more people into ground as it'll create abit of a buzz. Also will improve the atmosphere due to his song.
