Got to make sure they're a quality option though. Pointless bringing in a lower league limited footballer. I'm okay with gambling on another loanee from prem see how they do. Be some u23s with good pedigree I imagine. That Campbell looked hood against us for Stoke 23s and now is seemingly involved in their first team so there are options out there

Not in most cases it doesn't. that's why most deals happen in the final weeks. Most clubs agents and players sit and wait as they try and get the best deals for themselves as the time pressure builds. sometimes that means clubs end up paying over the odds in fees and wages.

Football agents are working on players 11 months of the year. The other month they are off to the snake festivals.

Like I said you can tap players up when you like. we've probably done it with grigg weeks ago, doesn't mean he and Wigan won't sit and wait till the end for a better deal. Wigan have to replace him and they're pushing us for more money too.

if it was half as simple as you make out most January deals would have been in the first few days, yet as usual with loans and permanent deals there will be 70 to 150 transfers done in England on deadline day at least.

Tapping players up and getting them are two different things, I know that, but you can achieve a lot by cheating.
