I have to confess that I wasn't really aware of this fella until I heard him in an interview on a repeat of an Anthony Bourdain show, anyhow, I have bought quite a number of his albums recently. Bloody brilliant he is.

Tbh all three albums he did with Isobel Campbell are good.I would also especially recommend his more recent stuff..Phantom Radio,Black Pudding(with Duke Garwood),and Blues Funeral.

Screaming Trees were shite mainly but solo he's up there with the best.
Bubblegum
Here Comes That Weird Chill
Whiskey For the holy ghost
Phantom Radio
All albums with Isobel Campbell
The latest one with Duke Garwood which I forget the name of
Also check out the Soulsavers albums that he sang on.
Love the gravelly bastard me

Screaming Trees shite? Dont be daft. Dust & Sweet Oblivion are far better than ANY of his solo albums

I have been listening to Field Songs again today, been playing Low over and over.

I’m not sure that I agree with the ST comment from what I’ve listened to so far.

This guy is f***ing great. I’m now buying albums by The Screaming Trees as well as others that he has collaborated on.
I really like Saturnalia by the Gutter Twins, Mark and Greg Dulli. He also did some pretty good stuff with the Twilight Singers on Blackberry Belle and Queens of the Stone Age on Rated R and Songs for the Deaf.

Some good songs on his last couple of albums but overall I'm not that keen on anything he's done after Blues Funeral. Whiskey for the Holy Ghost and Bubblegum are great.
