You must be able to appreciate peoples' concerns. There's nothing wrong with questioning results and performances, I would have thought our fans more than most would be able to relate to that by now considering how patient we were with Short even though the evidence was staring us directly in the face.

We have had ample opportunities to move up the league, we have been gifting away points willy nilly. We need to put a solid run of wins together before we run out of time.
I do appreciate that marra but as you said we were patient with short et al I just feel we after all that shite might manage a little patience right now you are welcome to have concerns just seems some are way over the top all things considered were still in with a shout of getting out of this division

We are, but people are worried that we are going to gift our position away and based on our current form, they are right to be worried. We have drawn 4 out of our last 5 games. I think it would have looked far better had we beaten Shrewsbury at home. The other teams we have played have been strong sides in this league though e.g. Charlton and Luton, plus Scunthorpe have won their last 4 games, so agreed some perspective is needed.

Too slow and laboured. We should be high tempo, pressuring the ball and not giving to opposition time.

Last week against Luton we were allowing them to play the ball out from the back, we were retreating back to the half way line.

It's when we win the ball back we need to be quicker. Instead we pass it around slowly and let the opposition regroup.

It doesn't make sense.

My God !!! Just read the OP and the half a dozen threads after that and cannot believe some of the clueless fuckin arseholes we have as supposed supporters.

Absolute fuckin idiots of the highest order.

Fuck off and support the Mags you winda licking fuckwits

I too am worried about the current form it isn't great however it a 46 game season it wasn't too long back we hammered Barnsley couple of weeks back we played Charlton off the park first half second wasn't so good there by hangs our biggest problem we don't seem to maintain momentum .I'm sure tho we have enough between now and the end of the season to get there

First paragraph is exactly my point. We didn’t win because we didn’t score enough and they scored. You can’t blame not winning over 90 minutes on a goal the opposition scored.

Of course you can. Whenever they had a good chance to score, our defence or keeper was equal to it and prevented it. The only time they got the ball in the net was from an unsavable shot that would have been a goal against any keeper in the country, let alone League 1.

It’s like saying we only scored because their defender didn’t intercept the cross or any pass leading up to it.

Of course it isn't. Our goal was fairly standard. We scored because our strategy of tiring them out worked, not because it was a particularly amazing strike.

We created very little all game. Our first effort was on about 40 mins from Maguire that was skyed miles high and wide. I’m not convinced that was our game plan tbh.

I am. It's the same gameplan we've used numerous times since it became obvious that every team in the division comes racing out of the starting blocks treating us like a cup final.

In theory it's a good strategy. I'm yet to hear a better gameplan from anyone bitching about Ross being "clueless".

It’s been similar all season tbf. Us having a good keeper and a good striker has seemed to be the difference.

Such is football. Last season a good keeper and a good striker could have made the difference between us staying up and being relegated. We didn't have them, we went down. This year we have them (relative to the rest of the division) and we're almost at the top of the table.

Of course it’s a good result if you think Scunthorpe are a better side than us and we managed to get a point.

A point away from home against a team in the same division is rarely too bad a result. Nothing to do with thinking the opposition is better than you. We're everyone's cup final this season. Everyone's raising their game against us and most are losing their very next game after playing us due to being spent. It would be ludicrous to expect we could "raise our game" in the same way for every single match we play.

What could you say about big Sam other than he pulled a rabbit out of the hat
And never done a bad job at any club he’s been at.

I think every single club he’s left have been in a higher position than when he took over.

The bloke would sell his grandmother.
Why do people get so hung up on personality?

I don’t care if everyone of our players and managers are complete arsholes providing they do the business.
