Any recommendations for a nice private villa with pool and withing walking distance to restaurants etc as don't really want to drive everywhere. Anywhere in Europe as just want a weeks break with kids.

That is almost what we have booked for our summer hols in the south of France. More a few rooms than a villa, but has the rest.

A villa outside of a main area is going to be a bit boring for boys that age and it wont end up being that relaxing for parents as you would hope - in my opinion

We only took our 2 to villas under 10ish and even then always had a car to go exploring.

They are 17 and 19 now and I was just thinking the other day that we probably wont have a family holiday together again:cry: last one was East coast US tour in 2016 - to be fair they even found most of that boring

School holidays mate. Wife won't take them out in term time.
Just want a pool and wifi for the ipads. Villa plus seem limited.

true..we took them to florida disney last year and they got bored quickly. A week won't kill them and aslong as theres decent places to walk and get scran (alcohol) then I will be happy.

Airbnb sorted us out last year and again this year...did Alufeira last year, Ibiza this year.
Villas are class if you look hard enough and then just sort your flights separate.

We've used jamesvillas a few times in recent years and found decent prices by waiting until late before booking as we weren't too bothered where we went but we don't go during school holiday weeks.
