Newcastle Pub Crawl ideas (again)

Id mooch along from haymarket station to the Town Mouse Micro Ale house then a couple of doors down is The Five Swans then as there's not much going on on the main drag id head down to Lady Greys and Bacchus (cant remember which order they are?) before making ones way towards Central. Id go into The Vineyard then walk along to The Split Chimp, then slightly back on yourself to Box Social mirco pub (in one of the arches) then finish off in The Telegraph (the juke box alone makes it worth a visit).

Edit: Looks like my route is the best
The Telegraph

Pacific, Huxters (not called that anymore), Sgt Peppers, The Hancock(????), Crows Nest (???), The Goose :D, the Labour Club, all the scratty bars round by The Gate, then down to The Forth, The Town Wall, and the bar in the station. Some cans from Sainsburys for the train or metro home.

Mario Kart the next day.

The Percy Arms, The Three Bulls, Hotspur, The Junction are all around the Haymarket too.

If you go slightly off the beaten track, there's the Trent, Strawberry, Black Bull, Rosier Bar, Newcastle Arms (good for ale but I always fall asleep in there).

Towards Central Station, it depends what you want. There's Rose and Crown, Butlers, Black Garter (beware cross-dressing karaoke compare), Forth Hotel, Victoria Comet, Dog and Parrot (on edge ofgay triangle but not a gay bar), Bodegas and Tilleys (next to Tyne Theatre on West Road).

A little off track, there's the Beehive and Old George arkund the Bigg Market.

There's plenty others, but I've concentrated on proper boomers and not anything too far off your route.

I'm not keen on the Town Wall and crossing the road up Haymarket to Crows Nest and Hotspur can be interesting.

The bogs in both Sargent Peppers and the Beehive can be rank.

Both Heads of Steam at Haymarket and Central Station ate okay too.
