London City Airport

I think eastern used to fly lhr to ncl but stopped about 10 years ago. might be who you are thinking of.

might be a good option for me to get out the office in Canary Wharf and straight on a flight up. will keep an eye put.
I think it's Eastern who are operating this flight from LCY on behalf of FlyBe

bollocks, there is absolutely no defending the rail system in this country.

when the chartlon tickets came out, me and my mate looked at getting the train, it was £126 return - cheapest. it then rose to over £140 as it got closer to the time. do not try and make out like that is value for money or affordable for normal people.

there should be a standard fair. of around £40.

Go to london once or twice a week, grand central cheaper @ peak £153 or off peak £103.

Good 10 grand a year!:( No railcards or feck all available on yer tod.

Just looked at the prices in case we get to checkatrade final going Fri-Sun but prices are £572 return for 2 adults and a child!! British airways is £300 so probably go with that if we get there!

Fly maybe
Went to Belfast with them no problems only thing was there was only about 5 on the plane. Dont think they do this route now

Flybe are dreadful mind for reliability mind. I was sitting in Southampton airport once and they said my flight was delayed due to fog at Ponteland. Telt our lass and she sent me a ferty from there (where she was waiting to pick me up) of clear blue sun-kissed skies!

Instead of dropping me at Southampton at 9:30pm once they dropped me at Bournemouth at 2am the next morning. They even had the cheek to give us vouchers for food and drink by way of an apology for the delay that we could use on the plane. When we got on the plane and it took off the trolley dolly advised us that they wouldn't be able to honour most of them cos they only had half a dozen sandwiches and a few bags of nuts and crisps.

Right up there with BT as an absolute shitbag of a company.

Sorry to bump thread but just been on the evening flight, highly recommend if you can get for similar price to the train, no hassle, single seated row (most single travellers didn't have to sit next to anyone) and free drinks Inc beer, etc. Old plane but easy and worth it imo.
I had a few dealings next to the city airport. Always looked a bit scary planes taking off and landing there. :) Will try it next time in London.

It’s a great little airport. Security queues a doddle and straight on/off the DLR into town. Only problems are when there are strong cross winds and flights get delayed then the terminal gets a bit radgey. Otherwise it normally 30-40 minutes tops from rocking in to boarding and off you go.
