The lifesaving food 90% aren’t eating enough of

I've been looking into this for a while now, seems fibre is far more crucial than most people thought.

It can even affect your mood.

Yeah, the gut microbiome has been a big area of research for a few years now and the research is now starting to come to fruition. As mentioned in the article, there's a lot of refinement needed.
Listening to Dr Rhonda Patrick for a few years now, she's been pushing the new revisionist science for a while now. Changed my diet drastically, cut heavy carbs down, have home made fruit and veg smoothies regularly. Lots of healthy fats with minimum sugar. Feel way better for it aswell

Been trying to increase my fibre intake for few months now, as I was reading about how fibre lines the gut and allows a much better microbiome to grow on it.

But seems there's absolutely loads of reasons why we need to eat more fibre, and the results are really becoming clear at last.

The challenge is getting up to 30g per day. I'm finding that very very hard without consciously forcing fibre in at every meal and snack.

eating breakfast now, and its rolled oats with dried fruits. Probably only about 8g in that and its literally chosen for its fibre alone.

Is that the one who was on Joe Rogan's podcast a while ago? I think that's what tipped me over the top on this one.
Also spoke about how we clean too much too.

Thats the one, she's brilliant. Gave the most clear cut answer to why heart disease studies are all up in the air I've ever heard, it's not fat, it's not sugar, it's when the 2 are mixed. Also was part of the study group that proved the cholesterol in eggs is actually good for you and only certain cholesterol's are bad.

She tweeted about the fibre study yesterday, although she appears thick as fuck because in the U.S they spell fibre wrong ;) people were asking her how she gets all of her fibre considering she promotes reducing heavy carb intake.

I eat oats like yourself and then one of her smoothies basically covers it.

Although this new study suggests 25-30+grams of fibre a day. My bet is... like every study that seems to be coming out now concerning sugar, you don't actually need that much fibre if your sugar/carb intake is lower.
