Another hit or miss band for me. Not a fan. BUT, I have to admit that I thought the whole EL VY side project was f***ing brilliant.
 


I love Fake Empire but unfortunately I was put off after seeing the fantastic documentary done by the singer's brother. The singer came across as taking himself so seriously with his head firmly up his back pipe. It all came across as pretentious angst and since then I can't take them seriously - shame as they seem a decent band.

A night on the piss and the potential to see a band I’d never heard of before?

Who would turn that down :lol:

I used to always go and see new bands before the wife and kids came along.

Now I’m lucky to get to listen to music in the car thanks to little miss mcq10 and her Disney soundtracks :(

First time i saw them was 3 or 4 songs on the tv at a festival and it meant nothing.Didn't see what the fuss is about .Seeing them live with no previous listens isn't ideal.It works for some bands but that instant type stuff doesn't give you the long term rewards

Can the next roses ,clash,pistols,oasis type original band who are rehearsing in a garage somewhere please get a move on and save us ,it comes around in 20 yr circles a guitar band that saves ,we are due one this year....
 
All The Wine, Mr November or The Geese of Beverly Road, probably. Alligator is their best album for me... (Although All the Wine was on Cherry Tree as well)
