Standing there like a tin of milk

Splart, as in:

All of a sudden,
A great big puddin came flying through the air
It hit Mrs Kelly a smack in the belly
and SPLARTED all her hair

Are there many different versions of this little rhyme? My Nanna used to sing:

All of a sudden,
A giant black puddin' came flying through the air
It missed me mutha and hit me fatha
And knocked him off his chair

I’m not from Sunderland but most of the things said so far are generic to the North East.
Having spent 3 years at the Poly and subsequently working with Sunderland people the following sayings are unique to Sunderland.
Topper
Behopes
Fish lot
and curry goes for a kerry.

Something similar

All of a sudden
A big black pudding came rolling doon the stairs
It missed me mutha and hit me fatha
and knocked him off his chair.

Daint ask us how it got up the stairs cos I couldn't tell ye.

Reminds me when we moved from Sunderland to Newcastle my old Dad had gone into a shop to buy my Mam some Murray Mints which of course he pronounced as 'merry' mints. He was told there was no such thing and was given a quarter of Merry Maids instead - caramel covered in chocolate, a much nicer sweet. Mam was well pleased but as they were probably more expensive he never made that mistake again. :)

I've never heard of the word 'topper' until I came on here. :)

I told my Teesside workmates about someone who was "twisting on" ie complaining. They didn't have a clue what I was on about. I dug myself deeper by using the phrase "twisty get". Blank faces all round.
