The Kinks- Christmas Song. In which Santiago gets mugged by the rough kids who don’t want his toys just his money. “Keep all the toys, for the little rich boys”

I cannot go anywhere here in the US without hearing that one multiple times a day. Especially given that the Mrs (NO) is latina (Cuba)
I hate that song.
One verse, one chorus, repeat, repeat, repeat ... they were up all night thinking of the lyrics anarl.

Anyone heard that depressing ‘Same Old Lang Syne’ by Dan Fogelberg, bumping into his teenage girlfriend in the supermarket, they go for a drink but the bars are shut so they get a six pack and drink it in the car?

Or the even more depressing one about the lad panhandling for change so he can buy his dying Mam a pair of shoes so she can look good when she meets Jesus?

Feliz Navidad was played at my mate’s funeral (in February). Summed up his sense of humour perfectly.

Tin hat on, but I prefer No Doubt’s cover of this. It just feels more Christmassy IMO
We had the same conversation at work yesterday tbh. I posted that because it's one of those that people probably didn't know was a cover at the time.

Not heard this played in a while:

Heard it twice yesterday.
