Nuclear Armageddon - Would we be told?

Apparently the first nukes launched would explode in the atmosphere and would shut down electric systems. It would be followed a few minutes later by the cities and military targets being hit. We'd be dead a couple of minutes after losing the internet. Based on this I can guarantee we haven't been attacked.
Apparently The 1st one would hit newcastle, for maximum wind effect the blast zone would cover the rest of the coast and so far out too sea....got me dingy on standby and our lass on the rowing machine in training, but I know I'll still have to do it mesell

Would you rather be oblivious and get obliterated without warning, but not get to see and spend your last moments with loved ones, or be with your family in abject terror?

It would have to be the latter. But it would be absolute rubbish

I'd like to know, I'm largely at peace with the idea of dying even at the age of 30...although of course I'd rather it in due time. I would take the chance to embrace the experience so much as I could. Tranquility in the chaos.

That channel 4 news bulletin on page 1 was quite daunting...I think if I saw that I'd assume the broadcaster had been hacked more than trust there was an imminent attack.

Will never happen, there's no need for those weapons now, the new stuff makes nukes as redundant as slingshots.
