What's the most you'd pay for an item of clothing. ?

The quality of Stone Island and the fabrics they invented have always been very good imo. Granted I’ve never wore it in donkeys but it was always fine.
How often did you were the coat ? A lot of it may be down to continuous wear in sweaty bars, clubs and football terraces ?? ;)

Didn’t wear it much at all to be honest before it turned to shite. I’ve had other stuff by SI that the quality was shit too. That rubber lining on some jackets always used to wear away too. Had a fantastic camo Ice Jacket with a moleskin facewarmer that dropped down out of the hood mind and that was great quality.

Jeans £80
Trainers £55-65 ( vans or adidas gazelles)
T shirts £20-£45
Shirt £90-£110
Boots/shoes £110
Coat £270 for my north face down jacket

I found the rubber lining to be shite on their stuff in the 90s. Came away on a jacket and sweatshirt I had.

It's all relative mate. Depends how much £1,300 means to you in the grand scheme of things.

I know, but even if you're extremely minted, that's still a lot of money, not as much as loads, but still a lot.
This is the problem when we get people knowing the price of things, but the value of nowt

But you know nowt about the product in question, because it’s out of your price range and inconceivable to you that you’d ever spend a grand on a coat.

There’ll be plenty of people who think a thousand pound coat is a bag of shite and you can’t get a decent one for less than £2k.

I could investigate it, but frankly a man on a flying horse wouldn't know it was a grand so bollocks to it

You’re into your beer aren’t you?

Why spend close to a fiver on a pint of IPA when you can get a can of Skol for 99p? Does the same job.

I see your point, but there's such a thing as economies of scale!
I've paid £5 for a pint before and even I thought that was a lot. I probably wouldn't spend that much again.

Likewise, I'd probably raise an eyebrow at a pint that was under £2 or £2.50

So it's inconceivable to you that somebody's 'sweet spot' for buying a winter coat might be around a grand?

How the other half live, eh?

Each to their own I suppose, but I just think it's a ridiculous amount of money.
Obviously if you have a lot of money, maybe it isn't to you.
