For some reason Bird's fogotten to mentoin the massive ongoing tax fraud case hanging over the club.

Last time I looked, they lost their attempt to stop HMRC looking at their records.

Did anyone take him seriously before reading that abomination
No, but this article goes beyond anything he has written before.

There's no self-awareness with him or the majority of any other Newcastle fan.

In an era where the perception of Newcastle Utd outside of Newcastle is one of an absolute laughing stock due to their behaviour, it's one of the worst examples of grandiose, arrogant, self-entitlement I've ever read.

Everything about them screams psychological disorder, namely, mass narcissism and they refused or seemingly aren't intelligent enough to recognise it.

That article sums it up completely. Relatively speaking in terms of modern football, they're an absolutely nothing club and have been for years but they seem to hang on to to football they played over 20 years ago as a barometer for how they should be perceived now. It's embarrassing and hilarious in equal measure.

Simon Bird lol but no other clerb has such potential :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
He's blocked me on Twitter so I can't give him my feedback on that article. Like most mag bellends, he probably reads this forum.

Hi Simon,

Your latest article was the most nauseating, hoop-rimming, steaming piece of shite I've ever read. There's people in asylums writing on walls with their own shit that are more eloquent than your article and more sane than yourself..

Give up your day job, you utter tragic cocksplat

Newcastle supporters are driven to continually claim Ashley doesn't really want to sell.

The alternative is to accept that the club isn't actually that attractive to serious buyers.

They believe that, without Ashley, they'd have been another Man City.

Others believe that, without Ashley, they'd have been another Blackburn.

I'll laugh my knackers off if the first act, of a new buyer, is to sack Benitez

My mate in the States is saying that Arthur Blank (owner of Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United) is interested in buying NUFC. Made his money from Home Depot over there iirc.

Standard for any football fan. Everybody automatically thought Ashley better than shepherd. Same way everybody thinks Sunderland’s new owner better than Short.
Optimism I believe it’s called.

There's a difference between hoping the new owner will be better and assuming he will.

Donald was regarded with great suspicion when he took over and still is by some.

You won't really know how good or bad Ashley was until he's gone, a bit like Pardew and Benitez.
