Hmmmm not sure he would, he never has before.
They have Chelsea away the Saturday after so I very much doubt he'd play what he considers his best 11 against a third division team.

he wouldn't take the risk even he wouldn't be able to blame Ashley for a bad result against us - more likely to accept he will get nothing against Chelsea and the cup would be more of a priority. Whereas our priority is the league and us being in the 3rd round gives us another fixture to play and Charlton away to re-arrange

There’s a theory that some balls are warmed up and some are left cold, meaning you can’t pick up two hots or two colds. Has anybody heard anything similar? I’m not sure as I believe it because as someone says above Everton have played Liverpool plenty.
I wouldn't be surprised. The amount of times a country is hosting a UEFA draw and ends up getting an incredibly fluky draw is behind normal. I don't think it happens in the FA Cup though.

We'd probably get beat but imagine the meltdown if we gave them a beating whilst in League One
Along with Rafa in charge it would be a sight to behold

We have played the scumbags many times in the FA cup. The last time we played was in the quarter final in 1956. They were the FA cup holders and we beat them 2-0 at the landfill in front of a 61,000 crowd. We lost in the semi final.

We won't draw the mags. We've got to beat walshall first anyhow.

I'd like us to draw a championship club at home to gauge how far we've come since getting beat off sheff wed.
My thoughts exactly. I found the Sheff Weds defeat quite deflating and it would be a canny yardstick to draw someone of their ilk in the cup, see if tangible progress has been made.

I've been to a few FA Cup draws and sat in the front row of the audience to watch. When Dalglish was whinging about the state of the Stevenage (?) pitch the BBC kept replaying the draw of Stevenage v Newcastle and I was in the background (wearing full stripes, obviously).

The balls were in the pot for quite a while so would have been the same temperature.

Keegan was actually decent craic.

After the replay, Dalglish said he hoped that Stevenage get knocked out the next round of the FA Trophy :) :) :) :)

This, bring them on. If the worst happened they would have beaten a League One side. If they didn’t they would spiral further into meltdown.
They have more to be afraid of than we have.
