The Roker Park Stand would be more fitting for West or East Stand. Tbh it would make more sense to name all stands together rather than just the south Stand.
 


I’ve gone Roker End as even now it’s synonymous with ‘The Roker Roar’. I would rather the stand names were geographically named as even though we have had some great players, managers etc. in the past how do you pick just 4 of them over any others?

If they are seriously thinking about changing the badge at some point in wouldn’t mind seeing a correlation between the badge and the stand so it’s all related. Would be impossible to do at different times though.

He has the Murray gates. Named after Murray. By Murray. That’ll do him nicely.
 
The Roker End

I've always felt that there was a missing connection between the SoL and our previous home.
 
As an aside. The Roker End makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The Roker End was called the Roker End because it was at the end where Roker was in Roker :lol:

The current stadium isn’t in Roker. The south stand doesn’t face Roker. It is in a different stadium to Roker Park.

The Sheepfolds End makes sense

What would you want it to be named? Not been sarky. Just interested. I think they are all ok tbh. The wearside end doesn't sound right, though i wouldn't mind the Wearside stadium as a name. All opinions, so there isn't a right or wrong answer

Seems a bit late to be honouring him now.

It's 80 years since he played for the club.

Shackleton played for the club longer and more recently

I didn't say that mate, and I applaud your passion for geographically accurate stand names.

However, it's great that everyone is so passionate about this club again and I think the stadium needs a facelift, even if it is just renaming a stand. It's all part of Charlie's plan to reconnect the supporters.

I love the clockstand idea mate. Maybe put that to the self proclaimed voice of the fans that are ALS, RAWA and Roker report. These names for the south stand just don’t fit anything relevant as people just don’t know who Raich carter is
 
Hey, 'West Ham' aren't in West Ham, Sheffield don't always play on a Wednesday and Newcastle are certainly not united... so it can certainly be 'The Roker End'!

People should absolutely know who he is. If people don’t its because the club have been negligent in celebrating our illustrious past for far too long. Other clubs are much better at it than we are. We celebrate mediocrity far better than we do genuine success.
