What’s Bristol like as a City?

toying with somewhere to visit that is a bit different to usual. Living in the North East I’ve pretty much done all the large Northern Cities.

Don’t fancy London, was thinking either Bristol or Southampton. Somewhere easily accessible by plane from Newcastle.

As the title suggests, what is Bristol like as a city. Fancy a good piss up on the Saturday night but want things to do Friday and Saturday daytime.

Better than Southampton.

Sounds like Brighton will be a better place for you to visit.

Am joking pal I couldn’t resist.

It's lovely. My niece is at uni there, she loves it and I've been to visit many times. And as mentioned - Bath is nearby. Gets a lot of rain, however.

Got some.canny places depends what you're looking for.

Worked down there about 13 years ago. As has been said, down by the river is canny, mind there was a Yardie related shooting in a All Bar One or Pitcher and Piano (a chain bar, can't remember which) when I was in there on a Saturday night once. Clifton is a nice area for a few hungover menders as well. Some lovely proper boozers there.
