Transpennineexpress are running a airport service New Year's Day.

There's a timetabled schedule from Newcastle to Blackpool changing at Leeds and Preston but no trains from Sunderland until 5pm.

That will be the Nothern rattler from Leeds through to Preston and Blackpool.

Any free unused tickets. They have done it for years. Been there for games with my old man and.theres been more away then home.

By the sounds of it, Blackpool have basically said we can have as many tickets as we want. I’d be surprised if we didn’t take at least 6000

Last I heard they are trying to get a temporary safety certificate to reopen their east stand. So with that and all North Stand and NW corner. 7k to 8k I'd imagine.

Apparently they are trying to work out the demand mate. If the tickets sell quick, another batch of a couple of thousand will arrive.
