WestJet Airlines

Yeah, they're one of the alternatives who are bit more expensive than WestJet so we may end up using them. How do they compare to something like BA?

Yeah agreed mate. Just wanted to get some opinions on them as I'd never heard of them.
They were fine, decent entertainment but a bit no frills. They were always a couple of hundred cheaper and I find Glasgow and Manchester a better option than Heathrow. WestJet were fine too, like a better EasyJet if you like.

You checked BA? Managed to Get NCL > LHR > YYZ return for only £340 .. couldn't believe how cheap it was. That was flying 31st August like

Edit: Forgot to say Also looking to go over myself next year and Air Lingus seems to be cheapest out of majority of carriers.

On some of the dates we've looked BA have been the cheapest option. We're looking at June at the moment and looking to go to the other side of the country to Toronto so it's a bit more expensive than £340.

Yeah suspect it will be, just wanted to let you know as a ball park figure really and that some of the flag carriers can be pretty cheap too when taking into consideration baggage, flight flexibility etc

I'd put Westjet and Air Transat in the same no frills category.

Last time we flew home went via Dublin with Aer Lingus on the return journey as it was the cheapest option and found that to be decent.

Have generally found Air Canada (the main airline - never tried Air Canada Rouge) to be the best service-wise.

We’ve done Vancouver twice with air transat. As good as BA I would say. Certainly more comfortable than the old 747s BA use long haul

Looks like they are bringing them in, 767's are over 27 years old and are backwards and forwards far too often for my liking.
I was on one recently to Calgary i didnt realise they were that old. Nicely refurbished which is more than I could say for the 737’s they have..

They've only just started the Trans-Atlantic flights. Early days to rate the service.

In Canada, they're a major carrier for internal flights competing with Air Canada. I wouldn't call them a budget airline as their prices are generally identical to scheduled airline prices.
