Obesity discrimination

The subconscious is quite sneaky. Put stuff in front of you and you will be eating it before you realise. It likes high calorific salty, fatty, sweet stuff. That is put in front of you wherever you go. It likes the path of least resistance and will eat a ready meal and sit on the phone rather than prepare a decent healthy meal.

Ironically, we are happier after we have exercised and eat healthy stuff. So we need our conscious mind to override the subconscious. I do this by only taking decent food into the house. No biscuits/crisps/pop. I haven't got the willpower not to snack. I forced myself to do more exercise as I got older and gave up one car between me and the missus and started walking and cycling on certain journeys

I can see how people get fat and lazy, we are programmed to do it. It just isn't a recipe for a happy healthy existence.
True, the game is stacked against you in a way... but at the same time I don't think it is the responsibility of the state and others to ensure you are not tempted by chocolate. You need a level of self-discipline to navigate successfully in the world.

And for that reason I think you should be judged on that. If you are obese to me it says lazy or lacks discipline.

Just look at the nutritional information for most sandwiches and salads mate.

Not many pre packed sandwiches are over 500 calories. That's fine for your dinner, considering an average adult male will need around 2500 calories just to maintain their weight.
Bowl of cereal in the morning, sandwich for your dinner and you can still eat a pizza on a night time and not gain weight.

Loads of people say they haven't enough time to prepare and cook a healthy meal when they get home from work etc.

It's just lack of knowledge and motivation.

Just consuming less of an already low quality, high calorie diet would help sort their body fat (not that I'd recommend it mind), but they just can't be arsed most of the time.

From almost as soon as you can eat, you're encouraged to clear your plate, eat it all up etc and praised for doing so. You're hardwired to try and clear your plate. So if you've got a massive plate full of food you will try and finish it. Smaller portions is the way forward.

nee excuse for being a proper fat twat like its just pure greed the worlds gone mad

eeee lets outlaw making fun of the fat bastard who couldn't help eating 3 portions of fish and chips and a kebab

it so far removed from Racism and Homophobia its unreal
Why not just treat everybody equally and with dignity regardless of what they are, who they are or what they weigh,?

There is no excuse IMHO. There is only one person to blame. Everyone has access to the knowledge needed on their phone. Lidl and Aldi sell cheap nutritious food that is easily prepared from simple recipes.

I've seen a programme about one of these 50st people and there was something wrong in his brain that no matter what or how much he ate he constantly felt hungry. Even if he just had 3 12 inch pizzas his brain was telling him he needed more food. He was aware of it as well, but felt constantly hungry. Must be a total nightmare that like
I am like that, no matter how much I eat im constantly hungry, what I pack away at dinner time is usually at least 2 times more than anyone else sitting at the bate table and I could eat more no problem at all, it might not be a problem with my brain I may just be a greedy fecker but I am constantly hungry

Not a good place to be. Are you burning it off? Or getting enough sleep? You could also be dehydrated. Sometimes when you're thirsty you feel hungry.

So why not just eat half the portion? Unless you aren't overweight obviously.

I’m lazy as fuck and manage to eat somewhat healthily.

Fry off some sort of lean meat, roughly chop a random assortment of vegetables and add them. Douse in a carton of Passata, add cannelini beans, season with herbs and other things. Some cherry tomatoes added near the end so they’re still a bit crunchy.

Boil some pasta.

Ignore for a while and thicken sauce if required.

There’s my lunch done as well.

Can be varied enough to be interesting and more or less sorts everything nutritionally.

I have no problem at all burning it off as at work I walk a average of 6 miles a day and I usually jog about 40 miles a week ontop of that, I drink at least 3 litres of water a day aswell to keep myself hydrated, I never really pointed out that I try to be eating healthy stuff constantly, my dinner will be healthy food 6 out of 7 days of the week, it just feels like im never full and I want more

Agreed but people don't have this knowledge. It's a doddle IMHO.

Harry my weight is fine I weigh anything from 11st 10 when im training for a race and 12st 2 when I take my foot of the gas, a example is ive a bit of a bad chest at the minute so im taking a week of the running and my weight will go back to 12st 2, then it will lower as soon as im back into my routine, the food I eat is not bad food it just never fills me no matter how much I eat

Smaller portions are definitely part of it. But so is changing those portions from beans potato waffles and breaded chicken to roast fresh chicken and veg.

You can eat as much veg as you like and you'll never get fat because there just isn't enough calories in there before you are full.

The only reason I say it is possible to change is because I myself did it. My parents cooked shite when I was a kid. Brought up on processed crap and I got chunky in my mid teens. Looked online, saw I needed 45 mins excercise 5 days a week and I should eat fresh. Within, I think it was 3 months I was back to a normal weight.

All I did was stop eating majority of processed food, pasta and bread.
Once you realise eating the contents of a fresh cheeseburger with salad but not in a bun still helps you lose weight it becomes easy.

Well you've got nowt to worry about imo.
Probably burning off more than you consume which is why you're hungry

Absolutely. You can get really decent recipes online for fresh produce. Or buy a cook book for 15 quid and you've got your next year's worth of food sorted.
