‘Human’

I’d suggest it’s on an even more basic level from an etymology perspective.

The etymology is known. It's actually somewhere between the two - it's related to the word "man," but back then "man" was used generically for humans, and there was a separate word in the Anglo-Saxon for a male human. That word died out around 900-1000 years ago.

So looking at the evolution of the word we have used for ‘us’ started out as the single word ‘man’ which includes both male and femxle, this was then split to identify sex and now a contingent of one of these wishes to further split this adjective to distance themselves as it partly contains the same letter configuration of the other sex? Sounds perfectly reasonable.

I was going to say split arse, but I’d get pelters.

I for one am extremely offended by that Kevin and also I saw the way you looked at me that time and I feel sexually harassed #metoo #watchyourletterbox

Feminism gone wrong. But don't worry, 99.9999..% of people see the ridiculousness of it despite what the media say.

This is why "the left" are being laughed out of governments. People are sick of the stupidity.
Well at least you had the decency to use inverted commas .. But still.
