Doctor Who

Jodie is always going to have a tough job convincing me as Capaldi is my favourite (yes I've seen the oldies as well).

I should start by saying I thought Bradley Walsh was excellent and
he seems to be the only one with nothing to lose out of the companions now that Grace is dead.

Tosin Cole left a lot to be desired for me, he seemed really wooden and has a monotone voice.

As for Jodie, I want to like her. I'm worried though, she seems very hyper and that is exactly what I hated about Matt Smith. I'll give her more time though.

I loved the cinematography though and the new composer has done a decent job. The theme tune at the end was fantastic and as much as I loved Capaldi, his theme was horrific.

There were way too many jokes though. Humour can work but don't overkill it.

Solid if unspectacular. There were things I liked but there's a lot I'm yet to be sold upon.
In reply to your spoiler, it might be just the opposite:
According to wiki, Grace has a reoccurring role in this series, so are they going to pop back a couple of years and then keep bumping into her?

Got round to watching it this morning and actually, after the regeneration bit which I always find really tedious bordering on cheesy with Dr Whos - I really really liked it. Back to where I think it was better - a good old monster of the week type lark instead of all the ridiculous subplots and sub-sub-plots it had got caught up in (with a bit where it just became the bloody Clara show) over recent years.

Actually think that Tosin Cole did the dyspraxia storyline really well - he seemed to be playing it as someone quite withdrawn because of the cumulative impact of having to live with it all his life - hence the running to social media and being hooked into hiding slightly in that kind of virtual world. Best I've seen that dealt with on TV.

Why, because there are brown people in it?

Why the fuck would anyone watch Doctors?

You should make her watch "The Empty Child" episode. It even gave me the creeps nevermind the bairn.

Shows how racist you are when your thoughts immediately turn to ‘brown people’. Shame on you, there are other diversities that have nothing to do with race or colour or even religion. At the moment Doctors is banging the drum about sixteen year old kids leaving care and becoming homeless and at risk.

Christopher Eccleston would be the best place to start as it explains as it goes for the benefit of those too young to see the first time round. She will probably love Rose, and if she doesn’t, you will, especially in the police uniform!
That was Amy Pond, as played by Karen Gillan.
Rose was Billie Piper, the shop assistant

...and Dr Who is incorporating aspects of Neurodiversity and the confusion of altered gender identity.

How shameful! I’m getting my companions mixed up. I can only apologise and say that senility must be galloping in!

No need. Most of them are easily interchangeable - Gobs on a stick who can miraculously pull the right decision out of their arse week after week with nothing but a sassy attitude to guide them.

Women are written extremely poorly in this show unfortunately. especially when you consider how good even the one off guest star blokes have been.

No, don’t bother. I didn’t care then and I still don’t. But it’s a bit unlike you to defend another poster, are you seeking to fill becs role?

I wasn't defending another poster I was attacking you for having shite patter and being thick ;)

I'm sorry but watching Doctors really just undermines everything you are in everyway

My mate was in it recently and I haven't even watched it... it's that poor.

Nice try mate but you've outted yourself there. You said "diversity" which has nothing to do with 16 year old homeless kids.

If you're going to post racist things at least have the balls to stand behind and defend your comments.

she says she doesn't care about stuff that has been explained to her twice and she still doesn't follow
she watches Doctors
says she is senile when just wrong
doesn't understand Diversity

Enjoyed it. Early days, but I thought Jodie Whittaker looked really promising.

Having been captivated by Eccleston, enjoyed Tennant, thoughly disengaged by Matt Smith, and pissed off by Capaldi when Malcolm Tucker never show up, I will watch next week.

that conversation had nowt to do with you. If you didn’t like it then unread it and stop making personal attacks on me for something that is irrelevant to you.

Another personal attack. Maybe I should stop wasting my time on you and just report you instead.

Definition of Diversity

The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect.
It means understanding that each individual is unique,
and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along
the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs,
political beliefs, or other ideologies. It is the exploration
of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
It is about understanding each other and moving beyond
simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the
rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.

Maybe you need to do more research on diversity. After all, you were the one who brought up ‘brown people’, not I.

After the first episode, it was also announced that this series will feature guest performances from Alan Cumming, Chris Noth, Mark Addy, Julie Hesmondhalgh and Lee Mack ...
