Was your comment, you don't get lucky by winning the premier league by 10 points
If you judge being a big club based on fan base and turn then no Leicester are not a big club.I don't particularly like Leicester but there achievement was amazing

Tbh Benitez looked like he didn't give a fuck. At 1-0 I expected them to change at ht and go on the attack but he did nothing. Even at 2-0 he did nothing still. Like you say, it's almost like he knows he won't be there much longer.

This season has been disappointing so far. Expected to lose the games against the top sides that we've played, no harm in that, any sort of points are a bonus, don't even mind the ultra defensive approach, won 3 and drew 1 against the top 6 at home with that approach last year. But the way we got turned over off Forest was disheartening but not a surprise. Second half against Arsenal, once they'd scored heads dropped. The level of commitment/belief/spirit whatever you want to call it doesn't seem to be there. Cardiff away? Newly promoted side in their first home game, probably would've took a draw although we could've won it had Kenedy not missed the pen. Palace away, again a draw is not a bad result for a midtable team away to another midtable team. And then today, a win was very important, and not only did we not win, we played dreadfully.
The fact we had 4 of the top 6 in our first 6 games probably put more focus on Cardiff and Palace, and then still winless going into Leicester at home makes it a high pressure game and the players just shrank. Man United away next, nailed on defeat. You can take accept defeats when you look like you're still in games, or unlucky, or there's at least a level of performance, but second half home to arsenal, and the full game today have been woeful.
Need to inprove sharpish, because as I said, Man United is a nailed on defeat, which leaves us 30 games to get 36/37 points, so for me as it is we look like relegation candidates. Once you have that losing mentality it becomes a habit.
Having said all that, we could put a run together of a few wins between man united and boxing day when we play Liverpool, and look like we aren't as bad as we do at the minute. Have a similarly tough period from xmas into January/february then a relatively easy run in so may be ok.

Re. Kenyon. I'd be happy for anybody else but Ashley now tbh. With Ashley it could be worse. But it could also be a whole lot better. Bit of ambition, trying to be as good as you possibly can, not just wanting to make up the numbers in the league and balance the books.
Even if it is worse than Ashley, after 11 years of going nowhere, just spin the wheel and see how it goes. I think Kenyon was instrumental at man united when they went global, and was at chelsea during a similar period. Being succesful obviously helps grow the club, but its not the only factor. I think he may just see the potential in the club where we could at least grow to be the best of the rest. Whatever happens though, something different to Ashley would be worth a go. Could be a Venkys or Vincent Tan type, could be a Mansour or Abramovich. Spin the wheel, take a chance

That said, all you've said is spot on as far as I can see from the outside looking in. I hope Kenyon stays away because he builds brands, and does it easily. Your problem is the short-term, you could be in real trouble in 4 weeks time if you don't pick it up.

If Kenyon was to actually take the role of CEO at the club I'd be genuinely excited, because if he was heading a consortium, he'd have investors with him who he knows would help him do his job effectively. But we'll see. I don't think Ashley wants to sell tbh. Not unless he absolutely takes somebody's eyes out with it.

Don't win against Brighton after Man U and then it gets very serious.

Had to do the work for you and realise you aren't capable of quoting a post properly so I can answer. But no, I'm not a "mag trying to get out" because I think Peter Kenyon is good at marketing.
