Tbf he's told the stories for a few years, at different talk ins etc.
The truth is probably somewhere in between both. Keegan probably failed to adapt to modern working methods, and those in charge weren't willing to speculate (modric, hypia).
It's been a disaster off the pitch from the start under Ashley imo. Can only imagine how it may have turned out under Mansour.

Went there for the rugby league in the summer and I know why so many fat b@stards have their shirts off. They must have to grease themselves up to get through the turnstiles. I thought ours were a tight squeeze at the SoL but theirs are really tight. Saying that the gravy in their tops might help lube them up.

Also the north east corner next to the leazers stand smells of drains and bins, I know I should have expected that seeing as it is the landfill

These issues about the state of the ground have been ongoing for a while now, before the new owners were at Sunderland. The back of the gallowgate is rotten, loads of feather and pigeon shite in the corners of the roof

The autobiography provides an abundance of detail on the tribunal, not reported at the time. This included Ashley’s response to the three-man panel when asked why he had said in an interview that final decisions of transfers were Keegan’s. Jimenez and Wise were there only to recommend players.

The interview - in which Ashley said: ‘I’m here to help Kevin – he has the final word’ - was even published on the club’s website and printed in the match programme for next home game.

"I have never looked at the club website,’ Ashley replied. "And I have to be exceptionally bored to read the programme. You will get more sense out of the Beano."

The examination of Ashley at the tribunal courtroom in London’s Fleet Street, broadened out into other examples of him speaking with utter disregard for the notion of truth.

In one interview, he had described a 2-0 win over Sunderland as his favourite moment since taking over the club. ‘It wasn’t,’ he told the tribunal. ‘It was when we beat Spurs 4-1. If you want to refer to dealing with the media as lying, then I would say ‘yes’, but I don’t think it’s lying in the true sense of the word.’

The way Mansour has gone about things is far from just throwing money at something.

He’s turned Man City into a global powerhouse. I read an article about their network and how they now operate. It’s very clever.

So glad he didn’t buy your lot. Hand on heart you’d be Champions League regulars. Blokes very clued up.
 
The club would consider inviting the fans into the ground to do a little renovation themselves, much like we have done. Sadly for them, they'll have realised that their supporters are backwards and would likely compromise building regs.

But the complaints have increased after we've done some work ourselves, funny that.

Totally agree about how they operate. The redevelopment of the area around the stadium, the training facilities, the clear plan for growth and once reaching a certain level, making good decisions, then doing it again and again. Hughes was there when they arrived, they spent on the likes of Adebayoor, Roque Santa Cruz, Bellamy etc to take them from mid table to champions league. They sacked Hughes who'd done a good job and went up a level with better players and Mancini. Got it right again in sacking Mancini to replace him with Pellegrini, and again with Guardiola. Very astute operators on and off the field, don't think they've put a foot wrong yet

I can’t tell you how glad it makes me that Ashley didn’t sell to them :)
 
Unfortunately when the main colour of a stadium is grey then it will look dirty. Breeze-block grey isn’t a vibrant colour.
 
To be fair our place isn’t exactly what it used to be.

Isn’t there a massive thread on here about how people would improve the SOL?
