City Bistro at the College

Got there at 6pm - really enjoyed it. Wife wasn't interested in the oysters, so I scoffed them all. Both had the chilli squid to start, and then shared seafood platter, finished with the lemon tart and 3 local cheeses. Bottle of Maota Bay Sauvignon Blanc with starter and mains + a Malbec with my cheese.

About 5 tables were occupied when we got in, but started getting busier just as we were leaving. Didn't seem to be staffed by students, which I guess given the term hasn't started isn't surprising.

Overall, 8/10. 2 points off as we were kept waiting to order our wine. Food was spot on.

Would go again.

We were in at 7 , had the same Sauvignon blanc - couple of small things like having to ask for missing food items but for £25 it’s class (plus 8 for oysters)

There was a lovely place like this in Hartlepool called the flagship, about 3 year in I found no students were working there n a little after it was gone.

Shame like, good idea, may try the sland one.

Edit: was expecting it to be on the outskirts somewhere, ideal on Park lane.
Treat my boys to the chicken shop there last night, dad of the year!;)
