Bournemouth sitting 5th in the prem despite not spending millions

He is a fantastic manager. Gets the best from his group and has spent his money very wisely indeed.
Deserving of all of the praise he gets. Simply keeping them in the premier league would be a job well done.
I would be delighted to have him at Newcastle.

 what about your World class manager surely you would rather have benitez

I'm confused by this thread, they've spent f***ing loads in the last few years haven't they!?
Have they on who?

Have they on who?

No i would not. I would rather have a manager who is brave enough to play a certain way and stick with it.

Our tactics this season have been baffling. We were positive against Spurs and looked decent. Negative against Cardiff and Chelsea and looked woeful. First half yesterday we were positive and looked good. I suppose we will revert to a formation, and tactics, to attain 0-0 draws against Palace and Leicester..................... Ashley's fault though, obviously!

Fair enough and honest

According to a quick Google they spent 51M on 3 players alone this summer, 32M on 2 players last summer and 37M the summer before that.

That's a decent outlay
  • 27Begovic

Dont think that starting 11 yesterday cost a fortune in today's football terms mind

And the manager not backed big style, how come?

Edit despite NOT spending millions

Haven't they been fined once, possibly twice for breaching financial fair play? They are certainly not living within their means. It could be argued that they should have been given a harder punishment as sides have been relegated having abided by the rules.

You have got to give Howe credit though, they have spent money, but it seems to have been spent well and he always appears to achieve the right balance throughout the team. They are a club, like several others in the PL that will always be vulnerable to being relegated if they get one or two transfer windows wrong.

No fanbase to have a go at players everytime they make a mistake, coupled with huge TV money.

Almost everything that is wrong with the PL...all they need is a Russian or Arab oilman backing the club...oh,aye:lol:

Wankers
Bournemouth didn't get there by spending big, they play really good football and they are still living within their means
