Whoa £60m for the ENTIRE SQUAD.... (.....let that sink in.)
The Facebook post was referring to the starting eleven. I highlighted another £32m sat on the bench to add some balance to the argument. You seem to be suffering from a similar case of myopia or is it cult influence ?
If you insist on exploring the ENTIRE squad:
Schär (4m), Manquillo (5m), Lejeune (10m), Lazaar (2.85m), Ritchie (12m), Hayden (2.9m), Joselu (5.5m).

42.25 million Euros or £38.5 million more to be accounted for if you want to talk about ENTIRE squad cost.

£100.5 million pounds to assemble a squad in the bottom 3.

I'll ask you then, why did your world class manager leave £32 million pounds of his signings on the bench on Saturday ?

That’s literally not how transfers are shown in financial accounts

Let that sink in
What do you mean exactly ?

All based on guess work.

Fact - amount owed to Mike Ashley as at 30/06/2017 £144 million.

Let that sink in......

Its hardly guess work now is it ?

- as we know the previous years turnover and costs - and we know exactly what the TV monies for a club finishing in 10th position

Fact is the profits are rolling in -

If Fat Mike is taking that to pay off his initial debt - why doesn't he simply make that clear ?

The iconic 9 figure squad.

So £60m for the team / £100m for the squad.. Its still peanuts in PL terms isn't it?

Actually according to this website NUFC squad is currently valued at abou £150m:

But look closer and you will find that only Bournemouth, Cardiff, Huddersfield & Watford have a lower squad value

Its not rocket science is it ?

And by the way - Benitez got us to 10th last season (not the bottom 3) - despite the lack of ambition from the fat one.

And he will do similar this term imo.

Its a better team / squad when all are fit.

Because he could only start with 11 players?

Because he isn't - the lack of any downward movement on the loan figure proves that.

Don't worry son, I'll keep you right on Rafa's spending and Ashley's generosity

Still speculation until the 2017/18 accounts are available.

You seem to have an agenda driven difficulty in differentiating between speculation and facts.

So the squad is increasing in value. The club will make quite a sizeable profit. The debt of the club is reducing. You expect a similar finish to last year (around 10th). These are all good things, surely? I'd imagine fans of most clubs would he happy in that suitation.

Watford aren't doing to bad mind

The Geordies need to read Swiss ramble

Even with Ashleys loans they were making losses until 2015, without his loans theyd have been knackered. Hall had them post 70m losses in Ashleys first 2 seasons where he couldnt really do anything about. Add that to this financial years 80m loss, thats where the moneys gone. You havent got any

Is it not just a case of that they have a decent manager, a squad that will not frighten anyone but at the same time should be nowhere near relegated who have had a tough set of fixtures to start but should be fine once they settle into a run against the lesser teams?

13th would be my prediction.

On a wider note I'd say 95% of clubs of the 92 are in a worse position when you take into account debts, league position, state of the facilities/need of a new ground, revenue generation etc.

In other words there is absolutely nothing significant to protest about every single season other than they haven't got a Middle East royal family owning them and the current owner is running it as a business like 99.9% of English clubs now.
