I totally agree the NEPL has nothing to worry about around attracting teams however with the criteria the pool will be getting smaller by the year.Quite a bit of bedwetting over the NEPL on here. Remember only the Academy have bailed out this year. Brandon were removed. Plenty teams in NEPL1 wanting promotion, and plenty DCL and NTSL teams wanting to joing NEPL1. Having played in the NEPL this year, I have sensed no clubs being disillusioned with the league, or struggling to get sides out (bar Brandon).
Stockton could go to NYSD, as mentioned previously that makes sense geographically, and having spoken to Blaydon lads they have no intention of leaving, they have spent nothing this year and struggled as they knew relegation wasn't an issue.
As a thought if Stockton have 1 more season and if there is no relegation as per this year, then a lot of clubs will spend significantly less in 2019 as there is no risks in either league. Only playing for pride really and a game that lasts a while so people have a few pints.
The leagues that tend to suffer are the ones on the bottom of the lader
