England v India 4th Test

Got a sketchy four and visibly relaxed. I thought, he thinks he's comfortable now, he's going to get out. As for the appeal, does he have no idea where his leg stump is? Mindless. Root should never have let him take it.

We are going to need a new top 3 batting order going into the winter. Who the hell is knocking on the door.

Worrying.

Well they should never have dropped Pope, shocking lack of faith in a polished young batsman. I still like Vince and he's in form this year. Jennings is 100% not the answer.

I think there's something psychological that they haven't quite got on top of. Ramprakash was interviewed a week or so ago saying the England setup never got that side right when he was playing and he never got the help he needed. Now he's in the setup one hopes they will learn from that.

Should Pope have ever played? Too soon? Vince is probably certain to get another chance. After that god knows....

Both set of useless bastards mirroring each other again. England and Yorkshire. England 92-4 Yorkshite 99-4.

Fuck off Gale. Fuck off Bayliss.

I would say yes and it goes with the trend of selecting a very promising young batsman and nurturing him early, as with Root. Then after an ok performance and a couple of wins to be dropped is where you shatter player's confidence and security and put them in exactly the doubting mindset that afflicted Ramps so badly

I hate to say I told you so, but I have been saying for a long long time Bairstow is a test number 7 and not a test 5 batsman, he plays far too many shots.

Root was never a test number 3

I have no idea why we totally disrupted 2 of our players who were in form in their proper positions.

It’s not just Root. Bairstow at 5, Stokes at 6, Buttler at 7. They all seem better suited

Why do we always lose a wicket just before a break?

Bairstow should be 7 with Stokes at 6.

If Buttler wants to be in the side, then he has to bat in the top 5, end of story
