Cheese lovers

Abergavenny creamery. Y-fenni. Cheddar cheese with wholegrain mustard and ale.

It's the future. Garlic bread. Am going to have to put this bastard in the fridge to save it. Taste sensation. Me Mrs has said save some, think she was thinking of Christmas and looking a bit posh.

I've seen it in Waitrose before, where else do they sell it?

Bought it in a farm shop near Hereford, me marra.
ah right. It's not too far from there, I used to sometimes take the bairn back down to uni in Cardiff the scenic route through Hereford and down through the valleys past Abergavenny if we weren't in a rush.

I'll have a look out for it, just read up on it and it generally gets good reviews and is described as "moreish"

It's been about for years like, they do another one with horseradish.

Y Fenni is the Welsh language name of Abergavenny don't you know.

Another fascinating Y Fenni story for you, the cheesemonger in Durham market once looked at me completely blank when I asked for some Ee Fenni, and then realised what I wanted and proceeded to tell me that it's pronounced Why Fenni. The thick get.

To be honest, it's a bit claggy for my tastes these days.

Love it

Redesdale by the Northumberland Cheese Company was my choice yesterday after a bit of tasting.

Also got the Garlic cheese from there as well.

Smokey Tomato and Garlic chutney to assist.
