Worst place to live in Sunderland?

Everywhere has its shitholes mate

Is it really bad?
Mate used to live there when he was a student. Remember coming in one night off the drink and watching a full blown race war in the street. Asian lads with cricket bats and hatchets vs rad goes with a baseball bat and golf club. Cars getting windows put out and flying about was mental. All scarpered when a van full of copper spilled up.

Work all over the north on housing renovations in Sunderland, Pennywell, Thorney Close, Plains Farm, Southwick and Hlyton Castle 99% of houses clean and tidy with decent friendly people. In my experience the Boro, Stockton, Hartlepool, Darlington, Gateshead and Newcastle all with a lower population than Sunderland, had some very rough areas unfriendly people and more visible crime and drug addicts

We love you Sunlun we do.................
Even born just out of Town--I wadnt change it for anywhere else on earth to be proud to come from:cool:

I was just saying this to my family when I was home on holiday last week.

The pride I have for the City of Sunderland and the heritage it has is huge, but fuck me there are so many f***ing scratters making the place look like a scene from The Walking Dead..

Not sure what it's like now, but, the pubs and clientele of Gateshead high street pubs was an incredible spectacle to behold some years back.

Only place I’ve ever had a knife thrown at me was Eston  Long story but it’s an absolute shithole and there’s definitely nowhere as bad in Sunderland.

Pennywell was turned into a ghetto by the council when they dumped loads of problem families and people there....they promptly decided to solve the problem they created by basically knocking Pennywell down. Bit of a disgrace tbh.
Pennywell isn't basically knocked down mate; it's still going.

They took out a chunk off Chester Road.

As an aside, the Pennygreens, etc. Square (s) up there aren't the best.

Portslade and St. Johns Vale though.

I live in Eden Vale and there’s loads of worse places in Sunderland. The Muslims never bother me, just the resident charv smackhead, and he’s fucked off to Downhill now, anyway.
My Mam and dad live opposite and next door to Muslims and they’re Not a pick of bother, lovely families. I walk through Eden vale all the time with no problems at all.

Like the silly curnts who discuss Washington shall I say it all, it’s a shithole?

Nar, but I will say I remember a part of ford estate and bottom of Hendon wasn’t too great like....apologies those living there:neutral:

But like everywhere rough and smooth.

Suddick, it's like f***ing Beirut but without the weather, ah bet if yer walked into The Tram Car it'll be like the Cantina out of Star Wars, except with more murderers.
Once picked up 5 women (I use the term loosely) from Hogan's bar. So they're in the back of the cab, pissed. One of them says, Eeeee I need a piss, so she proceeded to unbutton her jeans and pull them down to have a piss in the back of the cab! She didn't, has it happened, because I went ballistic with her: Fkin get owt ya manky twats -kicked them out on N Hylton rd. The one and only time I picked up from Hogan's.

Walked out of a job in Wheatley Hill a few weeks back. Totally minging house with loads of cats and dogs and associated "mess".
Took 10 days or so to get rid of the fleas from our house FFS.
This was a one-off house, but the "main street" there is like the land that time forgot.
Nowt as bad as that in Sunlun in my experience.
East Durham villages much worse
