Stupid question, but...

Me and the Yankette will be poking round parts of the North East tail end of next week - Berwick, Lindisfarne, Sunderland, Durham.

Weirdly despite going down for games, I've no real idea where to go for a few drinks and whatnot.
Anyone recommend anywhere for next Friday night? Might even buy a pint if anyone swings by, you never know.

I was going to say check Trip Advisor, however Sinatra's is in at No.7 - I must be doing it wrong...

One of the Reviews - "You know the phrase "drinking in the last chance saloon"?, i think i've found it. A cross between the audition rounds of Britains Got Talent and bedlam"

If you're drinking in the Town centre with female company I'd say The Fire House, maybe The Peacock, likely enjoy some of the bars in Sunniside I'd imagine, depends what you're looking for

Cheers, probably the first sensible answer

No idea what you’re after in terms of food, type of bars etc.

Fire Station is nice, pizzas are canny. Peacock is ok if there’s anyone in, but soulless otherwise and been completely dead last twice I’ve been in. Vesta Tilleys is cheap and usually has a few in. Dun Cow has barely changed and the selection of beer is good, if pricey. Revolution is canny, but expensive though the terrace upstairs is good if you’re there daytime and the sun is out. Heading up Green Terrace Greens is another cheaper place. Fitzies is the same as ever. Again head out the back if the weather is nice. Cooper Rose is a soulless Wetherspoons, but cheap. Chaplins is canny. Heading down to Park Lane you have Port of Call which has a good selection of beers, if a bit pricey.

Borough is now a pile it high sell it cheap place. Expect to see Racing UK on the telly while surrounded by old blokes drinking £1.80 a pint beer while chart music blasts out of the speakers.

Then head down Holmeside and have a nightcap in Josephs.

I’ve missed quite a few out as well, mainly as they aren’t worth bothering with.
