Man in the High Castle

Even though I am the type of person who usually avoids most series like the plague?

I have never seen 1 episode of Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and other such things that get hyped massively.

I've also never seen a Harry Potter film.
I obviously can't guarantee you'll like it. It's a parallel timeline story, which is a bit grim in places. I like it but I also like all the ones you have mentioned too.

Quite enjoyed, but then again I love "What If?" Alternate history stuff. Really hope they renew it for a second series. There are some good shows on Amazon Prime, currently watching series 2 of Outlander which is another good series worth watching.

It was renewed in December.

I tried to read the book. Got about 1/3 way in and gave up. Then I got soaked to the skin in a London downpour the evening of the referendum. Everything in my bag was saturated and the book had turned into a pulp, so I chucked it away.

Season 3 starts on October 5th on Amazon in the states.
Really enjoyed the first two.

Saw the trailer for series 3 a few weeks ago, up until then was starting to think it had been cancelled. Really like this have also been enjoying it. Also been enjoying Outlander so looking forward to series 4 of that.

Talking about the series 3 trailer, for some reason there is one scene in particular that reminded me of the classic 60s sci-fi show The Time Tunnel

Just started watching it.

3 things:

1 - it's really good and I'd highly recommend it. I'm interested anyway in the Nazis, and I find the idea of them winning the war and what comes out of it very compelling.

2 - I'm only 3 episodes in, so there may be more to the whole "film" malarky (I hope there is) as currently I dont know why there'd be so much of a fuss over a film....

3 - The Amazon Prime service with the "X-Ray" is awesome, there are so many times i'm watching somethign and I think "What was she in?" so being able to do that on the fly is pretty good!

Anyone else watched it? *No spoilers please*
The x ray thing sounds canny but no different from grabbing your phone and imdbing it really.

One of the best series going. I think they have nailed it with how the world would look like if the Nazi's and Japanese won the war.

Wish season 3 would hurry up. Been waiting a year and a half!

One of the 2 reasons why I prefer not to watch TV shows as they air:

1 - You forget what's happened, and all the little clues etc that are referred back to in later series - much better to watch an entire show from start to finish in one long blast

2 - Shows that get cut without a proper end are beyond annoying - by waiting for them to finish, you don't risk wasting tens of hours on something that doesn't end properly.

I get what you mean but when a new season starts, for example Better Call Saul just started again yesterday I will go on Youtube and watch catch up videos which remind me.
