its not his last chance he doesn't even seem under pressure but they wont drop him after 1 game in the summer
He's living off the relative succeses of the winter. He needs a couple of scores in this series as I reckon there will be media pressure to put Bairstow to 4 and give Buttler the gloves. Root at 3 and Bairstow at 4 gives us a far more solid look

If we lose this test you don't think there 's going to be massive pressure to drop someone adding nothing in any discipline to the team?

His fielding is as much of a worry as his batting. It wouldn't be so bad but Cook is adding nothing of note but dropped catches also.
Imo if we lose the selectors will be forced to at least look at the situation.

they already need to change stokes next game so maybe they will give malan another

I'd imagine Ali will come in for Stokes if the pitch is dry. Not sure about Curran as 3rd seamer. Would Woakes for Stokes be too much of a gamble re batting lineup?

They did exactly that to stoneman

Our batsmen are our weakest facet of our game.

So much time spent having a go at the bowlers in the ashes when it’s not their fault they can’t bowl 90, or moeen isn’t a proper spinner.

The fact we batted in paradises and collapsed all over the shop was more galling. Yet again on Wednesday 202/3 all out for 287 utterly pathetic.

Bowlers did their job yesterday and the fielders(batsman) let them down.
