That's the key, no gift wickets in the second innings.

I know people are doom and gloom but those same people were saying our score would be left far behind and but for a dropped catch, we would have lead by 140

We lead the game.

We should be well ahead in the game but we're not, still got a good chance of winning. Hopefully Jennings and Root who both played well first innings start well again tomorrow and set a platform

Thing is, going back in the thread, there was a canny few expecting India to go past England four down.

They still can't bat against swing. Their scorecard shows that and imo England will win this test

Agree, this is down to the batsmen now, a decent total and they will bottle it.

It happens but we are well in this test. The Indians will not fancy a 260 plus chase.

I'm optimistic!
Don't expect anything from Cook anymore, so his wicket was not a dagger in the heart.
If Root goes early I may change my mind, but we normally get a couple of lads in our squad make a good stand.
Butler is due one and Jonny is mint.

Specious.

India are no.1 by virtue of their record on the subcontinent. They have only ever won four tests in England.
 
Think it’s safe to say he’s the best in the world. Plays a different game in white ball cricket to everyone else.

Only Steve Smith stands above him as a test player. But these 2 graphics are pretty incredible reading.

The first unfortunately just shows how bloody embarrassing our catching has been in recent years.

Malan should just play his natural game here. No point just prodding at it and getting out as it's more than likely his last chance.

its not his last chance he doesn't even seem under pressure but they wont drop him after 1 game in the summer
