Just watched this kids obligatory YouTube compilation and must say, I'm excited about this signing. Looks like he has a lot about him and good in the air. Seems to be able to do it all.

I like the look/sound of this lad and he's the kind of signing I've wanted us to make for years, BUT one funny thing to note about our fans is how when this lad's old fans praise him people lap it up and take so much notice of it yet when Peterborough fans say Jack Baldwin is horrendous it's just dismissed as sour grapes. I'm not convinced about the Baldwin signing to be honest from what they've said.

Like I said though, I do like the look of O'Nien and hopefully with McGeouch in the middle we can have a mobile, young, talented midfield who can develop a partnership together and grow as the club does over the next few years.

Peterborough fans, in the main are fickle as fuck and a bit thick, pay them no mind.

What's the gap between League 1 and League 2?
Can Luke work his magic same as last year?
Not very big. I think only 3 newly promoted clubs to league 1 from league 2 have went straight back down in the last 12 years ... or something like that, simply put it rarely happens that newly promoted clubs go down, I think Wycombe and Accrington will both however be bottom 6, will do well to stay up.

Talking to a Wycombe fan today. He said the fans are disappointed with this sale but they’re all expecting to go straight back down. His view was that he’ll be fine for league 1 but needs to kick on if he is to take it any further. Still quite raw and rough round the edges. Did say he was about their best player though

just read this interview with his mate Ben Herd and sounds like he has his head screwed on and will graft hard to improve

would have thought they could have stretched to twin beds :)

i think it's the fact that they are both our players now and deserve the benefit of the doubt untill they actually play. Baldwin seems to have been a decent player before we will just have to see. he's going to have loovens next to him at least

Ex-Watford defender Ben Herd is not only Luke O’Nien’s mentor, but also his best mate. We sat down with him to find out about his interesting relationship with the Sunderland newbie, and to hear his perspective on how he thinks he’ll fare on Wearside. RR: Hi Ben - thanks for sitting down with us. Could you maybe just give us a little bit of...
