The debt has always been there even when running at a profit. It's a loan that isn't being repayed and there's no interest on it, so it's almost irrelevant unless the owner wants to start getting repaid or if somebody wants to buy the club. There's only been one repayment made on the loan to Ashley of £11m about 6 or 7 years ago.
How much is it and is it part of any price for you?

Apparently the players still haven't been paid their bonuses from last season.
The bonus was £4m for avoiding relegation in 17th place and £1m per place higher after that.
The players refused to speak to the media last night, including NUFCs official media channel, and that is because they still haven't been paid.

Hope thats true, players not happy and a manager who looked ready to cry

Please explain clearly exactly what this means.

What ambition do you want him to have?
An ambition to achieve more than survival in the cash cow of the premier league. You cant build a team if you have a sell to buy policy. We have always had it, when we had Cabaye we had a player we could build a team around, but we sold him. When we had Carrol we had a striker we could rely on, build a team to support him, we sold him, when we had Winaldum (sp) we sold him (granted we had been relegated)
What I mean is we should be finding gems, and keeping them.. Although players now throw the toys out of the pram and force moves, but spurs had that problem too, but refused to sell.
I guess I just want my team to compete again, we seem stagnant, becoming a Yo-Yo club, and it's not pretty. A large investment in the youth academy and training facilities (which is dilapidated) to bring us into the 21st century. We need investment all over but we do just enough to ensure survival, if we go down he does back the manager, he has too, he needs to get back to the cash cow.

Think it is.
There's a few articles from September last year where it took them months of negitiations to finally secure a bonus scheme comparable with other clubs.
Also in Benitez press conference he was asked what's going wrong off the pitch he said everything.

Short ran us into the ground over a ten year period.. we just didn’t know how fucked we were until we went down. Even in the Prem we were leaking 20/30m a year. Ashley doesn’t want to leak £30,000,000 a year and he’s got you 10th in the Prem. good for him.
Yeah you are right, I think that Ashley has ran the club very efficient, we seem to get the maximum outcome from the smallest outlay, just like his stores. But it's dull, I would be prepared to gamble, he isn't and I suppose it's his money as he owns the club. I can't wait till the fat fu*%ers gone though. If this seems ungrateful I don't really care.

Just seen it as well...I reckon he`s off soon like:lol::lol:
Looks like it.
I'll be amazed if he is here at the end of the season.
It really does look like the hierarchy are trying to push him out.
When asked about incoming deals he said can they do in 10 days what they've been unable to do in 2 months? I don't think so.

It's like Ashley and Charnley are deliberately trying to sabotage things with not paying the players bonuses and pissing off the manager.

Obviously you lot will be loving it on here

You couldn't turn down £35m for Carroll man it was insane money

How very dare you!

We're talking about the here and now.

This season.

We've recouped / are recouping 40m+ in transfer fees.

We will get 50m or so in tv monies

We've spent less than 15m so far.

It doesn't take a genius to see that something is not right . We are being out spent by Huddersfield, Wolves , Fulha.
You've almost spent that in one player alone
£13mil on Muto isn't it?
Also transfers "initial" fees will never be what is paid up front. A high percentage will be made up in installments. For example, it's been reported that the Mitrovic transfer was £22m, but only about £6-8m of that is up front, therefore that is what is made available

Ashley does something every now and again to piss you lot off..I wouldnt be suprised if he sacked rafa

dunno if SEB as i rarely venture onto nufc threads, but if it is.........................fuck off;

She's a good journalist Louise Taylor and part of the North East group of journalists Benitez seems to open up to. Her allong with Caulkin, Martin Hardy, Simon Bird, Mark Douglas and Luke Edwards, they all seem to be reliable and accurate when it comes to what's going on inside st james.
If any of them are writing about problems then its most likely true.

Me either. It would be stupid and baffling but not surprising.
What I don't get is that we have a manager who is probably the best a club like ours could hope to attract amd he seems hell bent on sabotaging him. It must be an ego thing and he's jealous of the popular managers we've had like Keegan, Hughton and Benitez. He has shown more faith and support in the more unpopular managers like Pardew, Kinnear,McClaren and Carver
