MP takes on Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley over his 'exploitation' of the club

There seem to be various campaigns by your lot to damage his brands (NUFC / Sports Direct etc) - can you see the link between the threats to do this and the need for extra PR?

When you are complaining that the way benitez is being treated isn't getting the coverage you think it deserves then perhaps that PR is actually worth the money for the club?

Chicken and egg really isn’t it? Don’t be a cunt and there won’t be protests.

Reading the comments from Graham Bailey's tweet and I'm actually gobsmacked.

Surely there's some genuine mag fans must be embarrassed to be linked with this sort of shite? Or are they so infatuated with Rafa that they are joining the delusion?

Also, I don't think this will sit well with fans of clubs like Blackpool, Charlton etc. who have had owners that have destroyed the clubs.

Precious, entitled bellends; the mags. Hopefully this fiasco will show other football fans exactly what they're like

Most fans know this now

That’s without mentioning he was a currently selling Newcastle shirts at £65 which is far higher than equivalent shirts currently retailing for bigger clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal (same manufacturer).

So not only do you want him to spend loads of money from his own pocket before you drive him out of Toon - you also want him to give you free footy tops?

He's let him invest heavily in your playing staff since he arrived though, over and above the money that has come in - why do you lot constantly ignore that?

"Theresa May, I know we have all sorts of issues on the table already, Russia, Brexit, all that sort of stuff but there's another issue I think we need to debate in parliament"

"What's that then? It had better be important"

"Oh it is, you see, I don't think Mike Ashley is giving Rafa enough of a transfer budget"

"You absolute f***ing whopper, get the fuck out"

"Eee ya just divvnt understand"
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Why ask questions to get someone’s opinion when you (seemingly) know all of the answers?

Seems a bit of a waste of time imo.

We're not competing with Bournemouth, let alone West Ham, let alone Man Utd or Man City.
We're not asking him to put "his" money into transfers and facility investment. Some of the money the club has received from player sales, sponsorship and the huge tv deals would be fine thank you very much.
I think you do understand why he gets rightly criticised by some of the media. He's an owner that doesn't have any ambition for Newcastle United, he doesn't care about the past or the future, he wants it to exist as a Premier League club so it can act as a massive advert for his shop.

I don't get the line "Ashley appointed Benitez" as if it's got anything to do with him. He wasn't shrewdly courting Benitez, and you're ignoring his entire history of appointments if you think he was. Keegan, Kinnear, Shearer, Hughton, Pardew, Carver then Benitez. One of these things is not like the other.
You go on like you’ve won multiple leagues in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s like Liverpool and are thinking you should be competing up there.
FFS you had a good run for a few year but you have won fuck all for years man. 60 odd in fact.

So money more important to him ? Has he been this badly treated before ? Why wouldn't he walk if it's so bad the man is well off ?

That’s a question you’ll have to ask him but him not voluntarily walking out on a contract suggests loyalty to contracts at any club he has been at.

You yourself have suggested his is ‘well off’ which gives the impression it’s not about the money.
