MP takes on Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley over his 'exploitation' of the club

Newcastle are bordering on Liverpool levels of spiritual sensitive masturbating about their special club.

It's even worse because at least Liverpool are like that because of their fantastic history, former glories and tragedies.

The Mags have an inflated sense of what their football club is . A special breed, i've never seen anything like it. So Mike Ashley has used NUFC to further Sports Direct as a brand? And what? Commercialism is part of football.

Going on like he's personally raped their club or murdered Alan Shearer or something

As for Rafa, he took the Newcastle job on knowing the structure. Suddenly he's their latest scorned messiah #IFRAFAGOESWEGO Go where?

I’m no lover of Graeme Bailey but this thread is intersting. They just don’t see that they are no different to 1000’s of other fans
The sense of entitlement is staggering. It takes "delusional' to a whole new level. You can just hear the Government response to that one at PMQS. "Mr Ashley's business is his business to do with as he sees fit"

Even the fat waiter himself will be embarrassed that this is getting brought up in parliament......bet her rant even woke some of the older MP's up from their afternoon nap upon hearing such f***ing drivel.

Never mind that Brexit is looking like a car crash that will hurt the North East far more than other areas, the main issue seems to be that NUFC wont win the league again this season and the owner of a private company has decided not to pump millions of his and that companies money on mercenary footballers.

No wonder many people are turning away from conventional politics. I know at least 4 Labour voters in her constituency who can't stand NUFC. She also has tens of thousands of students in her constituency who most likely are not NUFC supporters either. She should be working on things that really matter like the NHS,

To be fair to her, she wont be the first NUFC fan to assume everyone who lives on Tyneside is a mag as well, and she wont be the first to be completely wrong in that assumption either......

Class when we pay our council tax to fund her salary whilst the road by my house is shut for 2 years
