Weight loss 2018

I weighed myself the yesterday, down to 81.4kg, over 5kg down from what I was last year and only 1.4kg from my target. It is the lightest I have been in some time. I still seem to have the same (not to large) amount around the middle but the scales tell me otherwise. I'm tempted to start measuring my waist diameter. I have been cycling a lot so probably building up leg muscle which is adding to weight, where as measuring will give a better idea of fat amounts.

Back into the bike riding now.....14.1 miles yesterday in 1 hour 52 minutes.........red hot out.....drank loads of fluid afterwards, fancied chines so had a chicken curry ate about a quarter and full after that but enjoyed what I ate so not wasted. Weighed myself this morning now down to 12 stone 2 lbs. So about 12 lbs to go for next target, should be fun took me a fortnight to shift 3 lbs, weight loss seemed to be static for a while. Still a bit of a belly and really that is what I want gone, so will carry on as seesm to be working ok.

Swimming in a sea of too-much information here.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to go to find really nice, but healthy meals?
I loved Al's Kitchen for teaching me how to make really nice curry - but looking to add 5-6 new meals to what we eat on an evening to start to drop some weight.

Also, tips for interesting healthy lunches would be great - happy to take leftovers from evening meals too.

Similar to you, 13.5 now but still excess fat around stomach, down to a few things, one being that it’s the area that most males will hold the last bit of fat on their body and the hardest to get rid of, trick is to keep on with the good food and hard training to reduce body fat!

Definitely measure yourself though so you don’t get disheartened with the midriff not looking like you want it to yet!

If you work in or around Sunderland have a look at Urban Terrace Kitchen in Pallion. Tremendous healthy bait cooked fresh to order.

Ah, sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant help to cook at home, rather than eating out. Good to know nice places out and about too mind. I really must try to the supposed-healthy eating place next to my work - sandwiched (pun intended) between a Greggs and a Subway place, which my feet always seems to drag me into.

One thing about this healthy cooking is to have stuff to take to work so I don't even go to the strip of shops.

Is that the name of the street?

When it comes to the likes of curry, salad or pasta I always make enough for lunch the next day.

I have a sandwich with barely any butter, usually ham and lots of salad or tuna. Fruit, usually grapes and an orange, sometimes a few strawberries, followed by a yoghurt. Just a pint of squash to drink. Some say bread is really bad, but I find it fills me and Im not tempted to snack later.

If I do need to buy something at work, I almost always end up with something unhealthy. A thick milkshake, a coke or a muffin. All just too tempting.

Wholemeal bread is filling and recommended by the NHS

I didn't really want to think it was good, but they are... The Joe Wicks stuff is tasty and easy, but not exactly on a budget if that's what you're after. It's worth a look at his website.
