Not for me. The Tunisian lad made no attempt to go for the ball. Keown made me laugh defending the decsion. Imagine his reaction if itvwas given against him when he was playing

To me it's soft as shite. He's positioned wrong (should have his back to goal facing out) but all he does is turn and shrug and the lad goes down like he's been shot.

I'm not one for slating referees but he was shite tonight. Been a big fan of VAR so far too but also useless tonight

Not a penalty whatsoever. Walker was stupid though by getting himself in to that position and not having the correct shape, he’s trying to shield the ball and puts an arm up, the Tunisian lad hits it, and crumples. That made the ref make a decision, it didn’t go to VAR even. Kane should have had 2 pens though.

Worst one for me is when we grabbed a defender in their box and they got a free kick. Kane got rugby tackled twice! Politics controlling VAR

VAR is only as good as the ref who has to use it. It’s a tool for him to get the decisions right at second look, this ref wasn’t having any of it and didn’t want his authority challenged by the system in my opinion. VAR is just there as a second opinion, the ref chooses to use it or not though.

Their player knew exactly what he was doing but standing the wrong way in the box and raising your arm like that with no idea of your surroundings is asking for trouble.

The ref said it was a penalty. The VAR guys only had to confirm whether there was a clear and obvious mistake by the ref in awarding it. It wasn't "clear and obvious" so the penalty should have stood.
