Apologies, not watching or listening to test match, so may already have been mentioned, but does anyone know if a nightwatchman has ever top scored in a test match innings?

Loads of times. Gillespie as already mentioned. Jack Russell did it a couple of times and Danny Vettori did it against us a few years ago.

Yikes. That is one ugly hack from Buttler, luckily the fielder has hands made of spam.

That Pakistan lad with the chalkboard saying he's looking for a wicket and a wife

He had a white jacket on and someone, maybe himself had put "FTM" on it

228 for 5. Buttler 12, bairstow 2 lead 55

Another nick off

Bairstow c sarfraz b faheem 21

260 for 6, lead 86

Buttler 25 off 31. New ball available but not taken

Woakes 0

So many starts yet 260/6.. Frustrating.
Did you see the Pakistan fan I mentioned? FTM in pen on his white jacket. The cameraman keeps picking him out as he has a chalkboard and writing messages

This could be one more to the list. Meanwhile England are salvaging some pride at Twickenham in the International Rugby Sevens. Going into tomorrow's quarter finals beating Kenya 36 - 7 with 180 seconds to go!

Woakes c sarfraz b Abbas 17. Good ball, thin edge to keeper

285 for 7 .Lead 111 Nelson strikes

Imo this is a classic headingley test match.

Players getting in, looking for all the world on for a big score, then getting out

Breaking it down, the players for England have all played to nigh on their average, where they failed to do that at lords

This link has highlights within.

Ps

Isha won the Derby sweep in the Comms box £70
Bumble asked if she was buying shoes with it

Weather permitting I can see only an England win

End of day 2

302 for 7 lead 128

Buttler 34 and Curran 16 at the close

Today

59 overs, 196 runs, 5 wickets, run rate 3.32

Good to see that cricket remains the bastion of good old fashioned sexism - some things never change, sadly!

She did mention that it could be straightners or curlers she would buy and they would be available to Nasser if he wanted a loan.
