Well now this is the difficulty with the Buttler selection. He needs to play a Test match innings and he has no experience of doing that in either Test matches or red ball cricket for well over a year. It's a gamble, will it come off.

If he bangs out 84 in 60 balls or something, you'd have to say it's a decent job done for a #7, no?

Always going to lose early wickets at May in England though, just need to get to 300 somehow and I will be happy

I will judge them more against India.

I'm all for Buttler like, only batting number 7 so he does have more licence, willing to give him a few failures to start with too

anyone got a stream? mine keeps freezing

Jesus, that's the first time I've saw the schedule for the whole summer.
Two months between the final Pakistan Test and the first Indian Test. Have they done that because of the World Cup?

I thought there was a good chance it pitched outside leg, can refer those a lot more now that you don't lose the referral if it's umpire's call.
