TEST MATCH :: England v Pakistan

I went for a run at quarter to 11 for 45 minutes, whilst out I thought to myself "I bet we've lost 2 wickets by the time I get back". I wasn't far off was I ?

Absolutely staggering how Stoneman is preferred over Jennings.

Its because Jennings has already tried and failed at test cricket, had a twatful Lions tour against a West Indies B team while Stoneman was facing Starc, Cummins, Lyon, Hazlewood , he had a shocking season last year and shouldn't get back in on the back of two county CC knocks after an utterly shit year again weak opponents. Rory Burns however.....

Stoneman was consistent in the County Championship for years, Jennings had one good season

& has done nothing at test level.

This season for Surrey

How on earth does that justify retaining a test place after a poor winter for England.

Not great international form is it?

Time to look to the future and Jennings in my opinion is the future.

Shite as expected. Gale and Bayliss. Two useless bastards who are ruining my summer and the teams I love.

Bayliss :):) absolute clown him

Jennings was bombed out after 6 games.

Just looking on cricinfo Stoneman has had 19 test innings, 0 centuries, 517 runs. Not very good really is it? Time must surely be running out now?

Burns is a good shout.

You seem to be going down the route of arguing and proving why Stoneman should be dropped to justify why Jennings should play. Everyone knows the statistics and you wont get much of an argument about Stoneman. However you will get plaenty of arguments against selecting Jennings who was struggling to make runs against an incredibly weak West Indies A bowling attack. You dont get dropped by England, play terrible for a season, fail abysmally for the Lions and then get back in on the back of a couple of county cricket knocks (or you shouldnt anyway). Thats not to say he shouldn't get back in at some stage but he needs to do more IMO.

As things stand theres only Burns that deserves a crack and even he hasn't really smashed the door down.
