With the money swilling around in the top flight at the minute it seems Ashley did exactly the right thing in bankrolling an instant return. However, no one should at all doubt that both he and Short have brought these losses on themselves by absolutely stupid decisions with regards to getting the right personnel and structure in. Stoke, Swansea and WBA all employed the wrong people this year and now have the same decision to make.

Ashley is a very successful businessman and whilst he pisses them off, I can't say he's ever made a bad business decision in relation to NUFC.
