Dam Busters footage restored using ultra-high definition techniques ahead of 75th anniversary
To mark the 75th anniversary of the original 1943 raid over Germany, the newly restored film will be screened simultaneously in 393 cinemas across the UK on 17 May from the Royal Albert Hall.

And yes, the dog's name remains.

Last time I saw it on TV, a couple of Xmas Eves ago, the announcer on Channel 4 was was apologising at each commercial break about the language being used

Yeah, it's a live screening - not just the film. I go to live screenings of west end plays and they are about £20.

Ridiculous really. The kind of people actually watching the film wouldn't be the type of audience to be offended but they sound like they were trying to preempt any complaints. I'm guessing.
