I'm going to be honest, I couldn't tell you the name of the drummer.

There were 4 members, what was May's issue with the other one?

Not true. May and Taylor were concerned that Baron Cohen was too much of a lampoon, what with Borat et al in his back catalogue so they parted company.

And SBC reckoned that he didn't like the direction of the film as they wanted to concentrate on the band after Mercury died.

Was reading about this recently and thought it got shelved.

No. He said he felt the movie should tell the story of Mecrury’s demise. The band disagreed.

The movie ends at Live Aid and does not cover The band’s return to form and Mercury’s death.

No. But they saw him in read throughs etc and didn’t like what he was doing with the character. May said it was too much of a caricature.

I think the band wanted a full story arc of the group, whereas Cohen knew that to make it box office it had to position mercury at the centre of it all. Going off the trailer, the movie makers point of view prevailed...
