I’ve never seen Avatar!
Visually it’s superb. It was groundbreaking for its time but it’s not a very good film imo

What about Fern Gully?

drax is a great character
when he was telling them he could move so slowly he was invisible....
Then eating those nuts which everyone could hear

 It's f***ing horrendous like. But it's such an unfair measure 'Box Office' as they artificially created the profits of Avatar by prolonging it's cinema run by some distance.
And the inflated taking as everyone was going to see it at the imax. I’m sure it was the first blockbuster filmed for imax

3D mate, not Imax. Suddenly everyone was willing to pay twice the amount

Obviously from a technology point of view it was a very important film but Christ it was dire.

Do you think it would have lasted so long at the box office if people stopped going to see it after say 6 weeks? The fact it had such a long run suggests there was demand for it

Much like Robin Hood: Princess of Thieves and the bloody Michael Bolton song.....that....just.....wouldn’t.....die!!!

16 weeks at no 1, and 21 weeks in the top ten singles chart in 1991.
Michael Bolton  wtf

One of the greatest songs of all time that’s why it was number 1 for 16 weeks.
