It's not really a massive scandal, middle aged millionaire gets shacked up with plaything, happens regularly and has no bearing at all on his suitability to be our owner

Why? He's not the first rich middle-aged man to run off with a younger woman, and he certainly won't be the last. And the report suggests this happened ten months ago - anything could have happened since then. It looks a little bit like some people are trying a little to hard to find excuses for wanting this deal to go tits up for some reason.
